The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has appointed Rabbi Yisroel Ya’akov Herzog as its chief Rabbi, after 73 years of a legal ban on Judaism or the entry of Jews.

This is another sign of warming ties between Israel and the Saudi Kingdom. Just a year ago the Kingdom permitted Israeli flights to fly over it’s air space.

Translation of the Arabic – Driver : We have with us Rabbi Yaakov and Abu Nasser, driving here in Riyad with the Rabbi this morning. Rabbi: Good Morning. God Bless your health. Driver: Thank you, Thank you Rabbi. We all love you, Rabbi.
